Ninja Turtle 7 layer dip ✅

This one is pretty simple. Make a 7 layer dip and just put the lettuce on top. Then follow the pattern with cheese, black olives and a tomato. All of the kids freaked out over this one and it was definitely a favorite at the snack table.

Barnyard animal cupcakes ✅

I made these for Deuce's first birthday. They were a huge hit but extremely time consuming and honestly in hindsight, I would pay for a cake or cupcakes to be made by a professional rather than attempt these again! However, I made them and the kiddos loved them, so here is what they consisted of:

Pigs, sheep, ducks, and cows

The pigs were strawberry cake with pink icing, a marshmallow nose with chocolate stripes and fruit roll up ears.

The sheep were white cake with marshmallows on top of white icing and light pink icing for the noses.

The Ducks were yellow cake and yellow dyed coconut with Orange candy slices for the beaks.

The cows were chocolate cake with white icing, light pink icing for the noses, black fondant cut outs for the spots and chocolate chips for the ears.

Thanksgiving Treats ✅

These were A LOT more time consuming than originally planned but well worth it in the end because the kiddos loved them!

Monster Mix ✅

We have become VERY familiar with Avery labels over the past few years. It's the easiest way to create these little goody bag labels and word has a great template to just type in the label code and all the dimensions are preprogrammed. Take some card stock, fold it in half, staple it to the bag and just apply the label!

Mix candy corn (goblin teeth), golden grahams (monster scabs), little marshmallows (ghost poop), and small chocolate chips (witches warts) in a bowl and put a handful of the mix in a clear party favor bag.

Done! Less than an hour and 2 kids' class holiday treats are finished.

Spider hair ✅

Sock bun with a large pom Pom and google eyes combined with bended pipe cleaner...thought it would take 5 minutes but actually wound up being more like 25. All in all, it was simple and she loved it so, I call this one a win.

Ninja turtle nunchucks ❌

Hot dogs cut in half, uncooked spaghetti spiked through each end and then boil them. Easy peasy. However, not a big hit with the kiddos, I guess putting 2 hot dog halves mixed with spaghetti on a hot dog bun wasn't all that appealing.

Frankenstein's monster 7 layer dip ✅

If you can layer ingredients, you can make this! Just remember to be careful how you choose to layer ingredients that can mix together, like lettuce beneath beans is a bad idea. The beans are too thick and the lettuce will wind up getting mixed in with the beans. I put the lettuce beneath the guacamole so even though it may have mixed a little, it was green and didn't show through and I was able to add a little more guacamole to hide the spots where they mixed.
